About the Film
The Last Drop documentary short features Alejandro, a young man who was a high school valedictorian, captain of his swim team and overall high-achiever. During his sophomore year in college, his world came crashing down after he was unable to get out of bed for an unknown medical condition for the unforeseeable future. The film follows Alejandro's journey as he begins to discover his new path in life.

Stacey Summers
Director and Producer
Stacey Summers, founder of Poppy Pro Productions is an independent documentary filmmaker. She previously produced and directed the award-winning documentaries, Keeping The Chaos Together and Dear Cancer, Love Stacy. She also co-wrote, produced and directed the off-beat comedy, Krazy Meets Karma, which had its world premiere screening at the 2019 NYC Chelsea Film Festival. In 2013, she wrote, produced and directed her first film, Unbreakable Threads, an inspiring documentary about today's ever-changing families. She was awarded a Houston Arts Alliance grant for all of her documentaries. Aside from her passion for film, Stacey worked in education for many years and wrote two books, H is for Houston, A Photo Tour from A to Z and Lila's First Tea Party, A Lovely Garden Affair from A to Z. She was a selected author at Houston's Local Literati in 2013. In her spare time, she enjoys practicing yoga, Chinese brush painting and watercolor, and has exhibited works at Houston's Annual Chelsea Brush Painting Show. Stacey was born in Brooklyn, New York, and has lived in both San Francisco and England for many years. She is married with three daughters and resides in Houston.
Vincent Drabik
Producer and Editor
Vincent Drabik is a Directors Guild of America director currently working for CBS News at its local affiliate in Los Angeles, California. He has worked as a director since 2008 producing content for local news affiliates across the U.S. The Last Drop is Vincent's third collaboration with Stacey Summers. They also produced the award-winning documentaries, Keeping The Chaos Together and Dear Cancer, Love Stacy. He also wrote, produced and directed the short film, Three Little Pucks, which was an official selection at WorldFest-Houston and The All Sports Los Angeles Film Festival. Previously, Vincent was a film professor and studied broadcast production at Specs Howard School of Broadcast Arts. He has worked in video production since 2004, in various capacities, such as a technical director, camera operator and editor. When not creating content for broadcast and film, Vincent enjoys performing stand-up comedy and spending time with his dog, Lily. Usually not at the same time.
Robert Macias
Director of Photography
Robert Macias is the Director of Photography for the documentary, The Last Drop. He started his career in video production for corporate communications and has over 15 years of experience. Robert is passionate about film and bringing stories to the screen for audiences to enjoy. His goal is to create compelling narratives through storytelling and deliver great entertainment through visual creative content.
David E. Mitchell
Composer
With over a decade’s worth of experience, David E. Mitchell has a deep understanding of the relationship between visuals and audio, more specifically media and music, enhanced with years of hands-on experience in television, film and video production. His broad composing identity ranges from experimental, orchestral, jazz, to synthwave and hip-hop, with over 14 years of professional classical piano training. He received his Master of Fine Arts degree in "Music Composition for the Screen" from Columbia College Chicago, and since then has made musical contributions by performing, consulting, producing and scoring film and audio projects. Having assisted and orchestrated for the composer collective “The Transcenders”, he has contributed his expertise to projects including Madam Secretary (CBS) and Black-ish (ABC), numerous short films (Dracula’s Coffin), documentaries (Keeping The Chaos Together), studio logos (Freestyle Digital Media), fan films (Halloween: The Face of Michael Myers), commercials and more.
